Note that this version updates the file save/load system so older versions will not be able to open files produced in this version. If anyone comes across an error when opening files make sure to update to 1.2.09 or above.
EnVison v1.2.09 is mainly a stability update. There have been many bugs fixed and a couple small features added:
Text boxes in print mode can now be moved from a center point
The distance between the Blue and Green marbles (Rotation widget) now scales along with the marbles.
Rotating forms with the ctrl key down now locks to 45 degree increments
Performers stopping early during playback
Halting on subsets now allows lower body facing events
We are proud to announce that the Mac version of EnVision will be available starting on April 5'th 2012! From now on both versions of EnVision will be updated simultaneously.
A note for Mac users: Most places where a PC user would use the Ctrl key you will be using the command/apple key instead.
EnVision Version 1.2.11 is now available!
EnVision v1.2.11 Updates:
High School stadium
"Smooth Paths" Tool: This tool allows you to have performers move evenly (even step sizes) over multiple sets. The smooth paths tool is located in the Path Mode tool. Use the Multi-Range in the timeline to choose the endpoints for your path smoothing. Make sure you have the performers selected that you want to smooth.
The slider on the Tool panel has been made bigger and moved to the right side for better visibility and usability
"Drills" folder has been moved to the user's documents directory. This will help Windows 7 users access them.
Several bug fixes:
Swap Performers tool not working correctly over multiple sets.
Converting a subset to a set messed the step sizes for that set
EnVision v1.2.13 is an update release that fixes a couple of bugs that kept some Mac users from experiencing the full functionality of EnVision. Including the bug that crashed the program any time Performers were added to the production.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are a Mac user and you installed v1.2.12 you will have to manually install v1.2.13 (or higher) because of a small bug that was introduced. You will not receive future updates over the internet until you manually install v1.2.13 or higher.
Q: How can I tell what my version is?
A: There are 2 ways to tell what version of EnVision you are running:
On the bottom right corner of the Welcome Panel there is a small version number.
Go to the Help Menu (PC) or the EnVision Menu (Mac) and choose About. This will give you information about EnVision including the version number.
New Stadium! The High School stands are still available from within the Display Options. You can switch between the two or choose to turn it off completely.
Congratulations to our Win Design Win EnVision winners! At the end of 2011 Box5 Software hosted a design contest where users were asked to design a uniform. The people who designed the best uniform won a free copy of EnVision Visual Performance Design! Now the winning designs are available for everyone to enjoy! Congratulations to Bert Zhang, Brenda Williams and Justin Miller! Their designs, 'Black n Blue', 'Echo Regement' and 'Formal Coat', respectively, are now packaged with EnVision and are included in this release!
EnVision v1.2.17 updates:
Stadium lights!
Win Design Win EnVision Winning Uniforms!
All Paths Toggle: When this toggle is on, all paths will be drawn from the beginning of the production to the current set.
Scenery Toggle: Use this toggle to turn on and off drawing of stadiums, stands and lights.
Halts: Subsets can now be marked as halts! A halt will not be printed and will not count towards subset numbering. ie. subsets: A, Halt, B. This option can be found in the Set Properties Tool. Note that this switch has nothing to do with actual performers moving. If there are performers moving on this set then you can still mark it as a halt and the page will not be printed.
