One our members has installed Envision Demo on his Windows 7 box.
When starting up Envision he gets an (windows) error about a "side by side configuration error" (his box has a Dutch language, so the exact error has no meaning for you).
He cannot use Envision.
It happend after the initial installation of Envision, so no updates have been installed yet.
How can we solve this problem?
side by side configuration error
Re: side by side configuration error
Hi lx2013,
This error is caused by some microsoft dlls that are missing on your computer that EnVision requires. The latest version of EnVision includes an installer that will put these files on your system and that should solve the problem. I suggest you download the newest version (v1.3.12) and install it. You may have to restart your computer. Let us know if that works for you.
Have a great day!
William

Re: side by side configuration error
FYI to all,
This issue was indeed the result of some missing library files on Windows machines. The most recent update has those files included as a redistributable installer so there is no need to download the files individually. Updating to the lastest version, or installing it fresh will do the trick.
