Trackpad gestures?

Is there currently a way to change which trackpad gestures serve which function?

No, there is currently no way to change the trackpad gestures. They simply reflect the options that are provided on the mouse:
Mouse Wheel: Zoom in and out.
Left Click: Select and drag.
Right Click: Pan and Rotate (with Alt)
